This institution's journey began in 2012 when a forward-thinking committee was formed with the goal of establishing an international school structure that would promote education for all. This visionary idea laid the foundation for a remarkable educational journey.

First student group begins their 2 years Cambridge IGCSE O - Level pathway.
First preparatory class opens to help students bridge the gap to year 7. First class graduates achieving a grade of B+ or higher.
Major renovations projects take off to expand
facilities.
First coding camp.
Covid-19 disrupts the world, Ideas Academy moves to virtual classes during MCO.
New structure combines virtual and physical classes. The complete curriculum remains intact, including coding classes.
Clarion NewLife Capital invests in Ideas, supporting its push for an international school licence. A Board of Governors is established, featuring Dato Dr Sharifah Maimunah, Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin, Prof Kamila Ghazali, Tania Tai, and Dr Jason Pandya-Woods.
=DreamsAsia invests in Ideas, now Ideas International School. Renovations begin with support from IKEA.
Ideas partners with UNHCR, opens in Penang, and becomes the first Cambridge refugee exam center.
